LushAcres Farm, a ministry of Thornwell, has been named as a “Best Festival in South Carolina” in the 2025 Best of South Carolina Awards, presented by The Guide to South Carolina.

This recognition is determined by hundreds of thousands of votes cast by readers and supporters statewide, celebrating the seasonal festivals held each spring and fall at the Clinton-based farm.
“We’re honored by this award and grateful to the families who make our festivals a cherished tradition year after year,” said Jacob Koch, Director at LushAcres Farm. “Our farm festivals represent more than just fun; they bring our mission to life.”
LushAcres Farm’s Spring and Fall Festivals have become hallmark events in the region, offering hayrides, live music, pick-your-own produce, barnyard animals, gem mining, homemade treats, and more. While the experiences are for guests of all ages, the purpose runs deeper.
Proceeds from the festivals support Thornwell’s nonprofit work with children and families, including:
Foster care programs focused on sibling unity and stability
Family preservation services that keep households together during hardship
Early childhood education through the Thornwell Child Development Center
Youth and transitional living programs that empower young adults toward independence
“When families visit LushAcres Farm, they’re not only creating memories, but they’re also supporting meaningful change in the lives of others,” said Kurt Fuhrman, Market Manager at LushAcres Farm.
Winners of the Best of South Carolina awards were announced Thursday on The Guide to South Carolina’s website, newsletter, and social media channels. LushAcres Farm will also be featured in the upcoming 2025 Best of South Carolina print annual.
