If you have a passion for plants, a love for learning, and a desire to give back to your community, the Clemson Extension Laurens County Master Gardener Volunteer Training Course may be the perfect opportunity for you.
The next course will begin this fall and is designed to provide in-depth horticultural education to local residents who are interested in becoming certified Master Gardeners. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. starting August 12 and running through December 2 at the Laurens County Extension Office located at 219 W Laurens Street.
Participants will receive comprehensive training from Clemson Extension agents and horticulture experts on topics such as soil health, plant nutrition, pest management, landscape design, and more. Upon successful completion of the course—including passing a final exam and completing 40 volunteer service hours—graduates will earn the title of Clemson Extension Master Gardener Volunteer.
The course fee is $300 and includes all training materials. Space is limited, and the deadline to register is Monday, July 29.
